It was a sunny afternoon when a blonde woman in a shiny red convertible came zooming down the highway, music blasting, sunglasses on, hair flowing like a shampoo commercial. Unfortunately for her, she was also going 25 mph over the speed limit.
Moments later, flashing red and blue lights appeared in her rear-view mirror. She groaned dramatically and pulled over to the side of the road.
Out of the patrol car stepped a female police officer… who also happened to be blonde. She approached the driver’s window with confident steps and a stern expression.
“Good afternoon, ma’am. Do you know how fast you were going?” the officer asked.
The driver rolled her eyes behind her oversized sunglasses. “Not that fast.”
The officer ignored the comment. “License and registration, please.”
The blonde driver huffed and began rummaging through her enormous designer purse. Receipts, lipsticks, old gum wrappers, and what might have been a granola bar from 2019 all came out.
“What does it look like again?” she asked, clearly flustered.
The officer raised an eyebrow. “It’s square and has your picture on it.”
The driver’s face lit up. “Ohhh!” She reached back into her purse, dug a little deeper, and finally pulled out a small square mirror.
She looked at it, adjusted her hair slightly, then handed it to the officer. “Here it is!”
The officer took the mirror, looked into it… paused for a moment… and then smiled knowingly.
“Oh, I’m sorry!” she said, handing it back politely. “I didn’t realize you were a cop too. You’re free to go!”

The driver grinned. “Thanks, officer! Drive safe!”
And with that, she sped off—once again slightly over the speed limit, but this time with an imaginary badge of honor.
