One crisp morning, an older couple lay cozily in bed, the sunlight gently streaming through their bedroom window. Having just awoken from a peaceful night’s sleep, they took a moment to savor the tranquility of the morning together.
As the husband turned to his wife, he reached out and took her hand, a warm smile lighting up his face. “Good morning, sweetheart,” he said, relishing the moment of connection.
But to his surprise, she responded sharply, “Don’t touch me.”
Taken aback, he raised an eyebrow and asked, “Why not?”

Unfazed, she insisted, “No, I’m definitely dead.”
Intrigued and a bit concerned, he pressed her, “You’re not dead! What in the world makes you think you’re dead?”
She looked at him with a straight face and said, “Because I woke up this morning, and nothing hurts.”
At this, he burst into laughter, realizing the humor in her unexpected claim. “Well, if that’s the case,” he chuckled, “I must be a ghost as well, because I feel fantastic!”
