He Asked God to Save Him From the Bear—But He Never Expected This Prayer in Return

After hours of trekking through dense woods, a rugged hunter, decked in camouflage and sweat, had spent the better part of the day searching for one thing: a bear.

He’d climbed hills, crossed muddy trails, and tiptoed through pine needles trying not to make a sound. But as the sun began to dip behind the trees and the chirp of crickets began to rise, the hunter still hadn’t seen a single bear.

Worn out and thirsty, he stumbled upon a fast-flowing river cutting through the forest like a silver ribbon. The water sparkled in the fading light, and the cool mist tempted his sunburned face.

“Time for a break,” he muttered, setting his rifle gently on a flat rock nearby.

He knelt down at the edge of the water, splashed it onto his face, and sighed — deeply, finally, peacefully.

Then… he heard it.

A low rumble.

Thump. Thump. Crack.

He turned around, squinting through the trees.

And then, from the shadows, it came — a giant Grizzly Bear, at least eight feet tall, charging through the underbrush like a truck without brakes. Its roar shook the trees. Its eyes locked on the hunter.

There was no time to grab the gun. No time to run.

There was only one thing left to do.

The hunter dropped to his knees, threw his hands to the sky, and shouted:

“Dear Lord, please! Let this bear become a Christian!”

The forest fell silent.

The charging stopped.

The hunter cracked open one eye — the bear had frozen mid-step, just twenty yards away. It slowly rose onto its hind legs.

Then, something even stranger happened.

The Grizzly Bear lifted its massive paws… and brought them together reverently.

It looked toward the sky and said:

“Dear Lord… thank you for this food I’m about to eat.”
