According to reports, Jennifer Aniston is thinking back on “Friends” and feels out of touch with the times.

When the subject came up, the actress was promoting ” Mystery 2,” a new Netflix movie in which she costarred with Adam Sandler.

In Paris, where the movie is set, Aniston told AFP, “Comedy has evolved, movies have evolved.”

“Now it’s a little tricky because you have to be very careful, which makes it really hard for comedians, because the beauty of comedy is that we make fun of ourselves, make fun of life,” Aniston said.

She also touched on how much the culture has changed since “Friends” debuted in 1994.

Aniston stated, “There’s a whole generation of people, kids, who are now going back to ‘Friends’ episodes and find them offensive.” “I don’t think there was a sensitivity like there is now, but there were things that were never intentional and others—well, we should have thought it through.”

The lack of diversity on the show has always been a contentious issue. Marta Kauffman, a co-creator of the series, regretted it last year.

“It’s not easy to admit and accept guilt,” Kaufman stated to the Los Angeles Times. “Staring at oneself in the mirror hurts. I regret not having more knowledge twenty-five years ago.

CNN has contacted Aniston’s agents to get more information.
