A wedding is often one of the most significant days in our lives, and we all hope that everything goes according to plan. However, one bride was brought to tears by her partner on their special day. Despite begging him not to pull any cruel pranks, she found herself humiliated. The upset woman was devastated by what her husband thought was amusing—and now she is getting divorced just 48 hours after their wedding.
The first warning signs appeared months before the wedding.
One woman, who goes by the nickname Constant-Nebula-1982, took to social media to share her heartbreak after her husband completely embarrassed her on their wedding day. She also recounted how he faced instant karma for his actions.
She began her story by noting that she was writing the post two days after her wedding. The woman had been with her husband for four years, including a year of engagement.
It all started a few months prior when she noticed her husband, Jake, watching prank videos. Some of these videos featured embarrassing moments, such as showing funny photos of the bride on a projector or smashing the bride’s face into the cake. She wrote, “I told him right away that I didn’t want anything like that at our wedding. He just laughed and said he wasn’t planning anything like that.”
Although Jake laughed and assured her he had no such plans, she continued to notice him making strange arrangements with his friends. He suddenly wanted to choose the wedding photographer and the cake.
On the wedding day, the woman faced the greatest emotional pain of her life.
The woman emphasized that she was so worried about the success of their special day that she decided to talk to her fiancé one more time. She reminded him the day before the wedding that if he did something like that, she would break up with him immediately.
When the wedding day arrived, everything went smoothly until the ceremony, leading up to the moment when the cake was to be cut. The entire room watched as the bride made the first cut while the photographer stood ready to capture the moment.
Suddenly, she felt a hand on the back of her head, pushing her face-first into the cake. Not only was her makeup ruined, but her entire wedding dress was destroyed, and the room erupted in laughter, with her husband laughing the loudest.
The man faced immediate consequences for his actions.
The woman recalled how, at the most humiliating moment of her life, the photographer captured the moment, and Jake declared this was now their wedding photo. She turned around, slapped him in the face, and ran out of the room in tears.
Karma arrived quickly in the form of his own brother. The woman described how she ran to the restroom, crying, when she suddenly heard loud shouting from the hall. It was her husband’s brother, Frank. She could barely understand what he was saying, but when she left the restroom, he was waiting for her.
Frank told her that Jake had something to say. Jake was visibly shaken and apologized without making eye contact with his wife. Frank insisted that he look her in the eye and apologize again. At that moment, the woman felt a bit intimidated by Frank, as she had always viewed him as kind and gentle. She admitted that she had never seen him angry before.
The woman’s decision regarding her marriage was difficult but justified.
She continued her story, saying that she asked Frank if he thought it would be an overreaction to separate from her husband, and he said no, asserting that she deserved better. He didn’t care how his brother felt about it because Jake had brought this upon himself. He offered to help her gather her things and gave her his number.
Ultimately, the woman decided to separate from Jake and file for divorce, informing him and her family of her decision. Jake simply told her not to go through with it, insisting it was just a harmless prank. She wrote that both his family and hers bombarded her with messages saying it would be ridiculous to end her marriage over this. However, she saw things differently.
She wrote, “If he does something like this to me despite multiple requests not to, even after promising he wouldn’t, then I can’t trust him. No matter what he promises me, I have to assume that the opposite can and will happen. He doesn’t care at all about how I feel regarding his decisions. This situation could extend to much worse circumstances where trust would be crucial.”
Frank seems to be the only one supporting her now, and she is determined to go through with the divorce. She concluded her post, saying, “Call me humorless, call me whatever you want, but I have my reasons.”
