Elon Musk just gave away the game in a new interview with Joe Rogan, in which he called Social Security “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time” because…it doesn’t make enough money for the government and people are living too long.
“Well, people pay into Social Security and the money goes out of Social Security immediately, but the obligation for Social Security is your entire retirement career. If you look at the future obligations of Social Security, it far exceeds the tax revenue,” said Musk.
Stop Elon from killing Social Security!
This is a completely nonsensical statement that underlines his fundamental inability to understand how government works and his rejection of the idea that people deserve the benefits they’ve paid into for their entire lives.
Millions of Americans rely on Social Security to get by, and they deserve every cent of those benefits — and more. Congress MUST take immediate action to protect Social Security from the predations of Elon Musk and his DOGE goons.
