A man and a woman were having dinner in a restaurant

A man and a woman are enjoying dinner at a restaurant when a waitress at the next table notices the man slowly sliding down his chair until he disappears under the table. Strangely, the woman seems completely unfazed and doesn’t appear to have noticed what happened.

Concerned, the waitress approaches the woman and whispers discreetly, “Excuse me, ma’am, but I think your husband has just slid under the table!”

The woman looks up calmly and responds, “No, he didn’t. He just walked in the front door!”

Meanwhile, the waitress, while taking another order a short distance away, observes the man sliding further down his chair until he is entirely out of sight. The woman continues to appear completely relaxed and oblivious to her companion’s disappearance.

After finishing with the other table, the waitress returns to the couple and says, “Pardon me, ma’am, but I really do think your husband has just slid under the table.”

Once again, the woman calmly replies, “No, he didn’t. He just walked in the door.”
